The Deal (without pancakes)

My goal is to pretty much throw away what I know about drawing and start anew. Kinda.
No more school girls, etc. etc. I guess I never took it too seriously. Which is why I've always draw the same thing time and time again. I can probably draw a school girl in record time, blind folded even. Well, I did take it seriously for a time, a time being like 5 years ago.
But reading american comics lately, and basically getting back into the Batman fandom this last year, has sparked an itch that manga can't relieve.

My Joker is hauntingly handsome. I find too many joker's are just....over the top. Skin peels, surgical clips, raw. It works for the comic. But I can't have a Joker with half his face falling off sexing on Batman now can I? Let my ship sail, dammit

I'd say it's a mix of Brian Bolland's and Jim Lee's Jokers and Anthony Misiano cosplay Joker. Brian's definitely is most influential (LOOK AT JOKER'S PUPPY DOG EYES!!)

Oh, right. So I moved most of my old stuff to scraps (fusk you premium asking for money for folders), as most of the line art I did was heavily referenced or traced. Most of it was really just a practice in line art, there was no skill involved otherwise. Also they'er way old. I did consider making another account but I'm lazy, and why?

2 years... going once...... going twice.....SOLD! By a smidgen.

Honestly, last time I used PS we were at PS CS2. CS2!
Now, what? We're past CS6--CC--a new ball game. Dayme.
It's intimidating so I want to use paint and open canvas and LEAVE ME ALONE TECHNOLOGIES.
Anyway, lets see what comes of this. Lately I've been moving away from my usual style, and with that has come the obvious realization that not only am I rusty, and in general have always sucked...but manga/anime is a very specific style that doesn't translate as well as an anatomy heuristic when doing other styles.

Aye, as it was 7 years ago, as it is now. Back to basics.
P.S. Now imma sell my old wacom bamboo now that I've found the stylus. My ingenious younger self was smarter than my current self and kept the stylus in my brush bag. Current self why could you not have seen this brilliant logic?

Hello page I neglect to update but cry from time to time because I can't making things in Photoshop as pretty as I used to but that's not saying much as I've also retracted in my drawing abilities since many moons ago.
Anyway.

I just re-installed Halo PC.
Yes.
I have an Xbox.
And I have all the Halos.
And I have the Anniversary edition.
But I re-installed the 2001 version.
Why?
BECAUSE IT'S GRAPHICS AND GAME PLAY ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND ARE AT THE FOREFRONT OF GAMING ENGINEERING.
But mostly because it's so darn hilarious....and I will always, always, at the end of the day.....be a Halo fangirl.

P.S. Dunno if I'm going to Anime North this year. I suppose whether tickets sell out first will answer that. Though, I'm most likely going to Fan Expo.
