In retrospect, I don't really like shiny things. I mean, I do. But my affinity towards such things is probably centered somewhere on the middle of the shiny/non-shiny spectrum. Basically average. Everything else is true. And science. And...food. Yep. Oh, manga is awesome. And Kicking ass. Actually, so is music. Yeah forgot about that. Okay. Wow, I need to work.

My goal is to pretty much throw away what I know about drawing and start anew. Kinda.

No more school girls, etc. etc. I guess I never took it too seriously. Which is why I've always draw the same thing time and time again. I can probably draw a school girl in record time, blind folded even. Well,  I did take it seriously for a time, a time being like 5 years ago.

But reading american comics lately, and basically getting back into the Batman fandom this last year, has sparked an itch that manga can't relieve.

....

My Joker is hauntingly handsome. I find too many joker's are just....over the top. Skin peels, surgical clips, raw. It works for the comic. But I can't have a Joker with half his face falling off sexing on Batman now can I? Let my ship sail, dammit :P!

My goal is to draw the Joker I see in my mind's eye. Hopefully that'll come with time.

I'd say it's a mix of Brian Bolland's and Jim Lee's Jokers and Anthony Misiano cosplay Joker. Brian's definitely is most influential (LOOK AT JOKER'S PUPPY DOG EYES!!)

Ahhhhh.

Oh, right. So I moved most of my old stuff to scraps (fusk you premium asking for money for folders), as most of the line art I did was heavily referenced or traced. Most of it was really just a practice in line art, there was no skill involved otherwise. Also they'er way old. I did consider making another account but I'm lazy, and why?

OKAY. YAY PROCRASTINATING, TIME TO READ ABOUT SCIENCY EYE SHIT.

Thanks so much for the watch! Haha, I'm sure there are subtle differences between every swan, but that one was actually at Stratford, Ontario.
